How do I post a job on Underwriter Services Association job board?
Here are the steps to manually post a job in your Underwriter Services Association account.
1. Under Publish Jobs in your account, click Post New Job.
2. Complete the required fields, including Job Title, Job Description, and Job Location.
3. Click Proceed to Next Step.
4. Complete any of the remaining fields to add more details to your job posting. (Note: The more information you include, the more likely candidates are to apply!)
5. Click Save and Publish.
How do I add employees to our account?
1. Click Manage Employees under Company Navigation on the far left of the page.
2. Click ADD located in the middle of the page.
3. Fill out the new employee’s information.
How do I edit my company profile?
1. To edit your Underwriter Services Association company profile, click Manage Company Profile under Company Navigation.
2. You can edit any company information and include a description about your company.
3. Add images (media) or videos by clicking Insert Media or Insert Video. Note: All media and videos must be approved by the Underwriter Services Association.
4. Add or edit your Company Website.
5. Click Upload Logo to add your company logo.
6. Click Save.
How do I search for candidates on Underwriter Services Association platform?

1. When you’re viewing a job posting, click Log In And Apply.
2. Complete your information and click Register.
3. You’ll see a default email template you can use to send to the company to apply for the job, or you can draft your own email.

5. Click Apply Now to send your email and apply for the job.

Do you offer a free trial for Employers and Opportunity Providers to post jobs on our Website?

Yes …. We offer a 30 day "FREE" trial to post jobs on the USA website. We have no limit, but all job postings are required to be within the scope of our niche profession. Those employment opportunities must be in the P&C profession focusing on: underwriting, loss control - risk management, premium auditing, claims adjusting and special services utilized by underwriters and their staff. (Examples of Special Services: industrial hygiene, infrared testing, fatality analysis, OSHA 10 & 30 training, driver training and many more specialized services.) Fee Companies may also post jobs for internal and external statutory and non-statutory opportunities.
As an Employer or Opportunity Provider do you offer a free "look see " window into our candidate base?

Yes, we provide you with a three (3) day window to examine our candidate base which will expand daily with new candidate registrations. Unlike most of the "Majors" operating job boards where you are required to sign a lengthy contract before accessing their data base we at USA are not like the others! Our candidate data base access window can vary according to your needs and budget. Our Mission is to provide the candidate "A Path to a Better Future " and "A Path to a Better Candidate Fit" for YOU the employer at an affordable cost.
What is so special or different about Underwriter Services Association (USA) ?

At USA we do not believe we are special by any measure, but we do believe we are different in especially important ways! Our directors and staff members drill down on candidate specialties for niche needs in the P&C field of coverages. Our customized platform brings to the forefront P&C occupations, while defining candidate experience, education, certifications and work environments for a more correct candidate fit. We earnestly believe in A "Path to a Better Future" for each and every candidate and "A Path to a Better Candidate Fit" for the employer. Our desire was not to have the hiring manager wander through a MAIZE of unqualified or under qualified candidates. Instead we offer for the P&C profession a clearly defined path for the job seeker and the opportunity provider. Our Premium Service allows for candidate testing & vetting which would lead to a recorded video interview between the interviewer(s) and the candidate using a mobile device globally.
Tell me about video interviewing?

Video Interviewing is a custom feature we offer with our Premium Services. The video invitation and interview set up is launched with the simple press of a button...yes one button. An invitation email is automatically sent to the candidate with a calendar invite for a video interview. Prior to the video interview skillset testing and vetting is accomplished utilizing your pre-established candidate questions for the position you seek to be filled. The candidate's questions and answers are video recorded in real time and saved in your candidate's data file. After the hiring manager and/or the interviewer(s) reviews the candidates test answers a decision can go forth regarding the next step which could be a live interview with the candidate. All video sessions are recorded and saved in the employer's file and become a part of that candidate's personnel file. Throughout the process email messaging between the candidate and the employer is triggered and automated with custom or scripted professional responses.
USA serves what industry ..... what occupations .... and what specialities do you register?

Industry Wise …. USA is dedicated to serving the INSURANCE INDUSTRY specializing in Personal Lines & Commercial Lines business but limited to P&C coverages. The scope of our job board consists of job seekers as well as opportunity providers including Reinsurers, Carriers, MGU's, MGA's, Retailers, Captives and Fee Company employers. Our apologies as we are unable to serve the Health and Life industry.

Occupation Wise …. USA seeks qualified P&C candidates starting with underwriting duties and ending with claims adjusting and a whole lot more. The more part would include: loss control engineers, premium auditors funneled down further to Special Services for underwriters. Special services would include drones, virtual policyholder services, self assessment "Helps" personnel, certified trainers, infrared testing, fatality investigations, root cause assessments, HPR assessments, air quality / IH assessments, OCIP and much more.

Specialties …. USA seeks to register candidate members for every coverage specialty & every risk type. (Ranging from the mom and pop corner store to Fortune 100 companies and every cataloged/coded industry.

USA is a for profit association, privately owned and managed by employees that have no vested financial interest in other P&C insurance enterprises. The only connection the owners have with candidates and employers are relationships build and cultivated through years of interaction with Carriers, MGU's, MGA's, Captives, Vendors and their respective people. No outside investment in the association has been allowed or nurtured. Our allegiance is to the candidate members and employers that utilize our services.
How to you enlist candidates?

Various ways, but we do not utilize contact lists (either email or mail) as we believe such use "swamps" the quality of the member candidate that registers with us. We source and access many of the major job boards and a few select major job board providers "backfill" job opportunities for us in-which candidate skill sets or education are diligently scrubbed and removed if they do not have credentials or experience in the Property and Causality realm we serve. Some of our candidate members come by way of our Affiliate Partner Referral Program where we remunerate member partners who provide us with qualified P&C talent. Lastly, marketing the association and it's purpose will be promoted through publications, newsletters and trade conferences and shows.

After all .. our purpose is to provide "A Path to a Better Future" for our candidate members an "A Path to a Better Candidate Fit" for the employer/recruiter/opportunity providers.

How do I search for jobs on the Underwriter Services Association website?
To search for jobs:
1. From your dashboard, click Search Jobs. A default search will load based on your profile.
2. Click Clear to clear the default search results.
3. Check the box on the left for the Job Type you want to search. Search results load automatically.
4. Select any other search criteria. Search results load automatically.
5. Click on the job title to view the full job description.
6. To save a job from the search results, click the icon in the upper right of the listing next to the job title.
Who can register?

Registration is free, although membership acceptance is limited to candidates that have experience or degrees - certifications - skillsets in the occupations & specialties our association serves. Candidates would have learned or acquired skills & knowledge in the Property & Casualty business as underwriters, loss control representatives, premium auditors or claims adjusters. Additionally candidates performing special underwriter services during the course of the policy could include: drone operators, thermal infrared testing specialists, OSHA fatality investigators, OSHA 10 & 30 trainers, defensive driver trainers, IH & environmental specialists, air quality specialists, threat assessment and cyber security specialists just to name a few.

The association membership is limited to the P&C trade exclusively and YOU are presented to hiring managers aluminating your occupation, education, certifications, work environment and skillset specialties. You build a profile that is unique to you and what you bring to the table. You can attach a resume, certifications and a photo.
What about my candidate personal information?

We will never request and you should never provide Underwriter Services Association with drivers license numbers, social security numbers, or banking or credit card numbers. All candidate background checks and reference checks would be conducted by the employer (or their assign) and historically triggered during the post offer period and never by Underwriter Services Association. Social Security numbers or drivers license numbers should never be included in a resume or CV. Access to the USA platform is protected by Candidate User ID and Password.
Do you market or sell candidate lists to others?

No. Access is given to potential employers with your approval in order to provide you the candidate with job opportunities. The staff of Underwriter Services Association does not sell your information to others.
Will this ever be anything more than a job board for its members?

Possibly … Probably … Hopefully …. But mainly " A Path to a Better Future" for the candidate and "A Path to a Better Candidate Fit" for the employer and opportunity provider.
