The Position
EXL Risk Control is looking for self-directed independent contractors who possess excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and timeliness standards. You will work from your own home or office.
Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim, loss control, underwriting, and/or fire and safety experience is a plus, but all interested candidates are encouraged to submit their qualifications. In lieu of experience, we can refer you to a 15-hour online certification option to qualify you. Fees are negotiable depending on experience and the unique aspects of selected jobs.
The successful consultant will schedule and perform phone surveys using EXL Risk Control forms and complete a form or report back to an insurance company. These reports contain information necessary to underwrite a commercial insurance policy. The successful consultant will remain organized on all assignments and manage the assignment from scheduling an appointment to completing the survey.
Consultants will work from their home or office and contact commercial business owners to obtain information about their operations and location. Surveyed businesses can include construction operations, landscaping, pool maintenance, retail businesses and various types of manufacturers, etc. You will be completing phone surveys for various commercial insurance lines of business that can include Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet and Products Liability.
