Loss Control Quality Reviewer - Virtual Role in USA
POSITION OVERVIEW
Sedgwick is looking for experienced Loss Control quality reviewers to review commercial surveys for content, consistency, and quality in a timely manner. Reviewers will provide returns for correction (RFCs) to loss control consultants as needed, in order to satisfy client requirements and expectations as a part of the underwriting process of commercial insurance policies. Our quality control reviewers are paid a flat rate per assignment, and the rates vary by survey complexity. The number and frequency of assignments may fluctuate depending upon geographical location. Sedgwick assigns work based on skill set, territory, and capacity requirements.
ROLE TYPE: 1099 (Independent Contractor)
COMPENSATION:
Compensation for this position paid flat rate ranging from $5.00 to $50.00 per assignment review based on the complexity of the assignment.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with 1099 inspectors/consultants
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to produce clear and concise reporting.
- Keen observational and analytical skills to effectively evaluate risks.
- Organizational and time management skills to ensure deadlines are met.
DUTIES
- Review narrative reports and associated photographs to confirm identified hazards and conditions of subject property are in accordance with client guidelines and quality requirements
- Ensure surveys and photographs are clearly noted and capture all necessary elements for pre-determined characteristics of the property; as required, certify proper recommendations are selected
- Evaluate diagrams to confirm they match the footprint of the property surveyed
- Use various public data sources to verify property information
- Correspond in writing with field representatives regarding concerns, errors, or deficiencies on specific individual reports
- Represent Sedgwick in a positive, professional manner with clients, field representatives, and internal staff by demonstrating high business standards, ethics, and integrity
- Act within scope of authority to ensure Sedgwick’s policies and practices are followed
QUALIFICATIONS
- No active licensed insurance agents/producers due to potential conflict of interest.
Education
- High School Diploma/GED
Experience
- Previous work experience in quality assurance for commercial insurance or other loss control-related field is preferred
- Prior experience working in a remote environment in a service-oriented business is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Manage time to work within and meet established deadlines while maintaining high quality of work
- Multi-task and prioritize work using strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Be a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented team player with superb interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in order to deliver constructive feedback
- Work proactively, both collaboratively and independently, with limited and remote supervision, while delivering consistent follow through
- Exhibit discretion with handling sensitive and confidential information
- Display ease of working with key people at all levels within an organization
