National Risk is a premier provider of insurance-related inspections and loss control services across the nation. We are seeking experienced independent contractors who can meet deadlines and are eager to assist us with inspections in your local area.
Job Type: Independent Contractor - Insurance Inspector
As an inspector, you will need to identify hazards or liability issues while providing digital photographs. In some cases, measurements of buildings will also be required. You will have the flexibility to set your own schedule.
Pay: Compensation is based on the amount of work completed. The majority (85%) of our work involves exterior inspections without the need for sketches or diagrams. Payments are issued biweekly.
Responsibilities:
Travel to residential properties
Identify and photograph potential hazards or issues related to poor conditions
Document on-site observations according to customer-specific requirements
Complete routine underwriting reports efficiently and on time
Communicate directly with policyholders and/or agents
Measure property perimeter accurately
Sketch property dimensions and areas using NRS field-diagramming software (if necessary)
Photograph and upload images of the property and premises
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates should have a background in construction/home improvement, real estate, insurance, or architecture
Self-motivation is essential
Clean driving record and pass a criminal background check
Required Tools:
PC/Laptop/Tablet with a currently supported Windows platform and at least 8GB of RAM
High-speed Internet connection
Basic computer skills
