MIB, Inc. has immediate openings available for independent 1099 contractors to perform insurance underwriting surveys on residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. Must be self-motivated. Microsoft programs/Word required. Experience preferred but not required.
Mutual Inspection Bureau, Inc. (MIB) provides time sensitive insurance surveys to our customers. This information is developed through Independent Contractors performing on-site underwriting surveys on residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. We assess conditions found as well as identify hazards that may lead to claims activity. We also gather data to assist the insurance companies in establishing replacement cost values for buildings and dwellings. Our service area includes Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, and Washington DC.
Candidates should be capable of meeting and conversing with people in the community and must be reliable, organized, and self-motivated. Basic knowledge of home construction materials and methods required. Previous inspection experience is helpful. A PC, internet access, and digital camera are required. Compensation is on a per report basis. We strongly encourage retired professionals to inquire. Work volume may be part-time or full-time based on the business volume in a defined territory.
